Trading and Disbursement Information

Goldman Sachs

Trading:

  • All trading requests received in good order before 1:00 PM Eastern / 10:00 AM Pacific will be processed within one business day. Examples of trade requests include disbursements (check, wire, EFT), allocation changes, account liquidations, etc.
  • If cash is unavailable for a withdrawal, trades will be placed and the disbursement will be sent within one business day of trade settlement.
  • All trading requests are processed in the order received. If a request is urgent, you must call us before 12:00 PM (ET) and notify us of the urgency.
  • We require ALL requests to be submitted using a GeoWealth form (Non-GeoWealth LOIs and cover sheets will be rejected).
  • Creating a new Advisor-Built Model may take 3-5 days to fully implement.
  • Updates to existing Advisor-Built Models may take 2-3 days to fully implement.

Window Trade Times & Frequency:

  • There are currently two trading windows each business day the U.S. securities markets are open – approximately 11:00 AM (ET) and 2:00 PM (ET). Clients and Money Managers may submit trade requests to GeoWealth throughout the day. Orders submitted after the last trade window are submitted in the first trading window on the next trading day. Orders submitted between trading windows are submitted in the next trading window. Example:
    • 11:00 AM (ET) Window
      • Orders placed between 2:00 PM and 11:00 AM (ET) the following business day are processed starting at 11:00 AM.
    • 2:00 PM (ET) Window
      • Orders placed between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM (ET) are processed starting at 2:00 PM.
  • If the market is open less than a full day the trading windows may be limited to a single window. Certain securities may not be available for trading.
  • If an order is entered in a window, it may not be fully executed prior to the start of the next window. In that event we may not be able to place a subsequent order for the next window.
  • We cannot guarantee that every window will occur as scheduled or at all. There may be times when trading windows are delayed or are cancelled for various reasons, such as quote vendor failures, computer failures or events affecting the markets. Our custodian reserves the right to add, remove and change window trade deadlines, without notice, at any time.

Bank Links and Disbursements:

  • Bank links are added to the account number provided on the form. If a client has multiple accounts, a separate request is required per account.
    • Clients must log into the custodian's website to approve the bank link in order to activate the new link.
    • After the link has been established, an advisor with disbursement LPOA can submit disbursement requests to the established bank link.
    • Bank links can only be established if the registration of the bank account matches the GeoWealth account registration.
  • All check disbursements from Trust/Business accounts are made payable in the name of the trust/business by default. In order to send a check in the name of the Trustee, the Trustee Certification Form is required. Please note that the Trustee Certification Form requires a notarization per trustee signature, and is available in our Resources Tab. If the account value is $1MM or more, a medallion signature is required for each signature.
