Incoming Transfers from Annuities
Goldman Sachs
Please use the Account Transfer Form. Depending on the delivering firm’s policies, additional instructions/signatures may be required. If you are not sure what the delivering firm requires, please contact us so that we may assist you.
- Annuities cannot be transferred via ACAT
- Goldman Sachs cannot accept any annuities in-kind and subsequently, cannot process any 1035 exchanges. All annuities must be either fully or partially surrendered in order to receive the assets at Folio
- If your client wishes to surrender the penalty-free amount, you are welcome to include that specific verbiage under our option to liquidate
- Some annuity companies require their own forms to surrender a policy, so it is best to check with the transferring firm prior to completing our transfer paperwork
- Time Required: 2-3 weeks on average. Timeframes for Non-ACATs are not standardized and is entirely dependent on the delivering firm’s procedures
- Goldman Sachs requires specific delivery instructions for asset to be transferred from an annuity: account already in cash, liquidate and transfer cash
- A manual signature is required
- Delivering firm may require original documents and/or their own paperwork
- Signature must be dated within 60 days
